Who we are

HowYouDoin? is operated by Cormens OÜ (registry code 17497453), a company registered in Estonia. Cormens OÜ is the data controller for the information described below. Payments are handled by Paddle, who acts as merchant of record. See the Payments section below.

What we collect

Your account details (name, email address), and the content you create in the app: Wheel of Life scores, intentions, tasks, and anything you share or write inside a Circle. Circle content is only visible to people you've explicitly invited and shared it with.

Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. We never see or store your full card details. Paddle handles that directly. Your bank statement will show the charge under Paddle.com or PADDLE.NET.

How we use it

To run the app itself, and to send the emails you've opted into (monthly reminders, circle notifications, account-related messages like email verification). We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Analytics and cookies

We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to understand how people use HowYouDoin? and what to improve. On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you choose, we count your visit the same way as if you had declined. We use analytics cookies and recordings only with your consent.

• If you accept: PostHog stores an analytics identifier in a cookie and in your browser's local storage for up to 1 year, so we can tell repeat visits apart.
• If you decline, or have not chosen yet: we still count page views, but nothing is stored on your device for analytics apart from remembering your choice, and your visits are not linked together across days.
• Recordings of public pages: if you accept, we may record your visit while you are not logged in, on pages such as the home page, sign up, log in, password reset and these policy pages. A recording shows how the page was used: clicks, scrolling and page changes. Anything typed into a form field is hidden. Recordings are deleted after 30 days.
• Inside your account: pages you see while logged in are never recorded. Analytics there only notes which page was opened, where you clicked without the text on the page, and actions such as creating an account, verifying your email, adding an intention or task, finishing a Wheel of Life, creating or joining a circle and starting or completing a checkout (with the plan name). Your Wheel of Life scores, intentions, tasks and circle content are not sent to PostHog.
• IP address: PostHog does not store your IP address. It may use it to work out an approximate location, such as your country, before discarding it.

You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings.

Cookies we use

• Session and security cookies: keep you logged in, remember your language and protect forms. The site needs these to work, so they are always on.
• PostHog analytics identifier (ph_…_posthog): only set if you accept analytics cookies. Kept for up to 1 year.
• Your cookie choice (__ph_opt_in_out_…, in local storage): remembers whether you accepted or declined, so we don't ask on every page.

Service providers

Paddle processes payments. PostHog provides analytics. Cloudflare runs our domain, sends our emails and stores our encrypted backups.

Your data, your control

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your data from our systems, aside from what we're legally required to retain (e.g. payment records for tax purposes).
